Why Join The Rogue Snowmobilers

Representation

Of the $60 dues to the Rogue Snowmobilers, $35 goes to our state organization, The Oregon State Snowmobile Association. They represent snowmobilers as an organized group and there is power in numbers. Every year more and more acres of land are no longer available for use to snowmobilers and other groups. This organization is dedicated to protecting our rights and keeps us informed with information important to us at both the state and national levels.

Education

We offer several FREE programs that are funded through our club. The first is our state certified Snowmobile Safety Education Program. Although this is open to all ages, it is very popular for the kids in our club as they must be certified to drive a snowmobile. We also offer free CPR classes for our groomers and then for other members on an availability basis.

Grooming

Our club has an extensive all volunteer grooming program. We groom and maintain more than 600 miles of trails. The more members we have, the more money we get for our grooming programs through funds from gas taxes and license fees. It is important to note that for each $10 snowmobile registration license fee and gas taxes, the OSSA gets over $38 to distribute to the local clubs for grooming and maintenance.

Community Service

All the work of our officers, board members, groomers and members is done on a volunteer basis. In addition, we support our community in other ways. Every year we raise money for Candlelighters (kids with cancer and their families) and also sponsor a day where the kids and their families can come up and enjoy a day riding snowmobile, playing in the snow and eating a wonderful meal. We also sponsor several families at Christmastime who might otherwise go without gifts and a Christmas dinner. This year we are also sponsoring a blood drive and a canned food drive.

Information

Through our newsletters and website, we strive to keep our membership informed of important information from the political to when and where fun events are to be held.

Socializing

Last but not least, we are a very social group. We have many club sponsored rides every year which include a potluck afterwards where the club provides the main dish. We have club meetings on the first Tuesday of every month between September and April. We have an annual Winter Banquet at Diamond Lake Resort. As you can imagine, the $20 per family membership would not begin to cover all our costs so we have our annual Mt Bailey $3000 Poker Run. This event raises the money for our club to finance our free classes, donations to the community and our social events in addition to being one of the highlights of our year. It’s a lot of work and takes many volunteers from our club to pull this off but it is also tons of fun.

    Travis Gelbrich - Vice President

    tgelbrich1@outlook.com

Where to start with Travis… Man the guy’s a legend. He’s been a long time committed member of the club. He’s served on the board for many years and has been a prior VP. Travis has stepped up to be VP for season of 24-25 to help fill the spot David had. He’s one of our club cooks and the certified “fry” guy! He also cooks up a mean corndog according to many members! Travis assists with the general operations of the club when Greg is not available or when he needs help.

    Jim Gulrich - Grooming Chairman

    bif@charter.net

    541-621-1842

Jim is a long time standing board member and is our Grooming Chairman. For snow year 2020/21, he was promoted to an officer of the club due to the influence the grooming chairman position offers in the organization. He holds this position until asked to step down by our District 5 OSSA director or by the club president. He is also the club photographer! If you are interested in learning about our grooming program, Jim is the person to contact! He also coordinates trail maintenance in the summer/fall time to get our trails ready for winter and works with the Forest Service to ensure our grooming program is ready to go.

Board Members

  • A person dressed in black winter gear, including a pink helmet with yellow goggles, riding a green snowmobile in a snowy landscape with leafless trees and snow-covered mountains in the background.

Jennifer "Jen" Jordan - Board Member

    SLEDDCHICK@GMAIL.COM

Jen was elected on the board in snow season 22/24 and is continuing her term this year. She along with David are long-term, dedicated members of the club, and both ride Artic Cat snowmobiles :) You should see what she can do on her Alpha! Jen has volunteered to coordinate the handling of our club “swag” (including hoodies, shirts, hats, etc.) and helps out with events like the Summer Campout (bunco). We’re happy to have Jen on the board again this year.

  • A man sitting on a red and black snowmobile in a snowy forest, wearing winter gear.

    Carl Seely - Board Member

    carltonseeley@yahoo.com

Carl opted to re-join the board after a short 2 year break. This will be Carl’s 4th year on the board. Carl will be providing insight in how to spark interest in the younger groups out there to join the club. He also will be working with Hayden on the Rogue Snowmobiler's Instagram account. He also is one of our few, very dedicated club cooks. We thank Carl for helping out with the cooking operations of the club. We couldn’t do it without his help.

  • A person wearing a black and yellow jacket, black helmet, and goggles riding a blue snowmobile through snow in a forested area.

    Ted Boster - Board Member

    tboster2@msn.com

This is Ted’s 3rd year on the board and is currently serving out his second term for year 24/26. Ted always has a good mindset and is looking out for the club anytime something comes up during the board meetings. He is also known to volunteer his place up for board meetings and cook for the board from time to time to save on club costs. He’s also another friendly face out there and super welcoming of everyone. Look for the good looking muscular guy with the big grin on his face :)

    John Martinez - Board Member

    jandbmar@msn.com

John “Crash” Martinez (sorry John) has opted to join the board for the first time for season 23/25. He’s been a long-term member of the club and shows up to just about every event, every year. Always a good guy to chat with or heck, even go out on a ride with. Him and his wife both like the family-friendly environment we try to bring to club functions and goes out of his way to make sure everyone is welcome there. He’s also stepped up recently and is helping out with cooking efforts more. We’re happy to have John on the board this year.

  • Woman in snow gear sitting on a snowmobile in snowy landscape, holding a mug that says "Hot Power Hooligan," smiling, with snow-covered ground around her.

    Beth Martinez - Board Member

    jandbmar@msn.com

John’s better half (sorry again John) joined the board with her husband to serve for snow years 23/25. She’s a dedicated member of the club and shows up to just about every event with her husband. She rides one heck of a Polaris snowmobile and knows how to ride it too, don’t let her tell you otherwise. She also goes outside of her way to make sure everyone is welcome at any event. We’re happy to have Beth on the board this year.

  • Two people, a man and a woman, sitting on colorful snowmobiles in a snow-covered forest clearing with tall pine trees.

    Tiffany Christopher - Board Member

    tiffanychristopher84@yahoo.com

Tiffany is a new addition to the board for 24-26 snow season with her husband, Tony. She’s one of the most badass gals in the club and is quickly becoming one of the best women riders in Southern Oregon. She won most improved snowmobiler award for snow season 2023-24. I think part of that is she hangs out with the turbo boys, Bert and Greg, and that pushes her outside of her comfort zone a lot. We welcome Tiff on the board for her ideas and stance on subjects. She’s also very outgoing and welcoming of all members at any event. Like her husband, enjoys keeping our president, Greg on his toes.

She’s got one of the few Polaris 650’s in Southern Oregon, and it’s got a pretty slick wrap on it :) Look for just about anything pink and it’s probably her.

  • Two people with a black and pink snowmobile in a snowy forest, one man standing with thumbs up, wearing sunglasses and a black jacket, the woman looking down adjusting her jacket, both dressed in black and pink gear.

    Tony Christopher - Board Member

    tiffanychristopher84@yahoo.com

Tony is a new addition to the board this year and is filling one of the vacant roles we had on the board for snow season 24-26. Tony’s one of the OG’s in the club. After taking a break for riding for a while, he’s come back with his wonderful wife, Tiffany. Tony’s always a friendly guy to talk to and you’ll find him at just about all of our main club functions. Look for the guy holding a duck-taped custom tumbler. He’s one of the old-school legends in the area, spending plenty of days in the steep & deep with other legends like Bob Susa, Gene & Dana Plankenhorn. He keeps Greg on his toes and always tries to make sure everyone is welcome at any event. He’ll be helping out with club decisions in his term and is always looking to volunteer to help the club out in any way.
